Pairing/Characters: Dr. Forrester, Joel, Dr. Erhardt, TV's Frank
Rating: Teen
Words: 5017

Author's summary: It takes a lifetime to build a reputation, and only a moment to wreck it. But Dr. Forrester may yet find interesting things in the rubble.

Quote:
“This invention,” she said, her gaze leveled directly at his furtive eyes. “It is yours?”

He could lie. And who could stop him? Joel? No one would believe the janitor's word over Forrester's. History hung within his reach. It was not meant for the likes of Joel.

“Oh, yes,” said Forrester. “Certainly.”

Pairing/Characters: Granny Aching, Granny Weatherwax
Rating: General Audiences
Words: 2319

Author's summary: Granny Weatherwax is blown off course and meets Granny Aching.

Granny nodded. “They call Nanny Ogg for the difficult births. I’m the one wakened for the difficult deaths.”

Gytha and Esme's Ill-Advised Adventure
Fandom: Discworld
Pairing/Characters: Gytha Ogg, Esmerelda Weatherwax
Rating: General Audiences
Words: 3708

Author's summary: 80's movies don't happen in the Ramtops, but if they did they would probably look like this.

Quote:
"Esme Weatherwax! You were spyin?"

"I was in the area!" Esme protested. "It's not my fault my ears could hear!"

There was a certain hook to that that made Gytha pause, hands on her hips. "Esmerelda Weatherwax, you was borrowing? Whose ears heard that? An without that someone knowing! What if you got stuck?" Again, Gytha didn't add, because she valued their friendship and Esme did not like to be reminded about that week she spent as a rabbit.

It's a Neighborly Day in This Beautywood
Fandom: "A House I Pass on the Way to Work Has This Sculpture in its Yard" (see also this version with some additional sections)
Pairing/Characters: Antler Guy, Steve, Sharon
Rating: Teen
Words: 2998

Author's summary: The Old One, The Sleeping Beast, Seeker of Blood and Devourer of Souls, Haunting Abomination of the Darkened Woods, woke to find his sacred grounds were no longer there. The new ways are more than a bit confusing, but there's no reason an ancient god can't adapt with the times.

Quote:
“Hello!” one of the humans said, thrusting an object into his hands. Sweat was beading on her temples as she looked up (and up and up—he really had overdone his height a touch) at him, but the only concession she made to her mounting fear was to take a step backwards. “I—that is, my husband and I—we saw you'd moved to the neighborhood.”

“Overnight,” the apparent husband added darkly. His voice was tight and choked.

“Right. And I know it's a bit early in the morning for lasagna, but I thought we'd bring some over and come say hello. Never too soon to meet your neighbors, right?”

Awww. I got all excited for a minute when I saw three anon fics in a row turn up in the AO3 Black Books feed, which is usually not a very active feed and said "Yuletide" to me, but seems like no one decided to take up the request for Takin' Over the Asylum. :-/
